Commemorating Sally Hulugalle at the Rethinking Mental Health Care Conference February 2025

Mrs. Sally Hulugalle, co-founder of Nest, passed away on July 10, 2024. A dedicated advocate for community-based mental health in Sri Lanka, her compassion and commitment were instrumental in shaping Nest’s mission and impact for the past 40 years.

Sally established The Gladys School of Community Health Work and Development, helping countless individuals gain essential skills and mental health education. Her unwavering dedication and passion continue to inspire generations.

In her memory, she was honored at the recent Rethinking Mental Health Conference in Sri Lanka on 27th and 28th February 2025, where funds were raised to support the Gladys School of Community Health Work and Development.
